Why people come here

What LENS is — and who comes to Thompson Lane.

LENS stands for Low Energy Neurofeedback System. Small sensors read the brain's electrical activity at a point on the scalp, and the system returns a brief feedback signal that lasts a fraction of a second — there is nothing to concentrate on, nothing to watch, and nothing to practice between visits.

This center sits in the middle of the metro, and it shows in who comes: working adults booking around a commute, school-age kids whose parents would rather not pull them out of class, and families driving in from Williamson, Sumner, and Wilson County.

A first visit runs about 60 minutes and starts with a conversation. Then The Harmonized Brain Map — a 21-point recording of brain activity, explained to you point by point, and a written plan you keep.

Clients here most often come in for anxiety and stress, focus and ADHD, and sleep.

Physicians in Middle Tennessee refer patients to us — we work from a standing referral list.
